#APG2015 reflection post 1/4: Supporting #ourteamsg as #oneteamsg
I had finished work as a presenter for Athletics just in time to make my way over to the aquatic centre to catch a precious friend, Theresa, in action. As she swam to her 2nd (of what would be a total of 5) Gold Medal of the Games, my heart swelled with so much happiness and pride I almost started to cry. The same feeling occurred as I later witnessed Zac Leow and Suhairi in action as they both finished with personal bests and silver medals, and Yip Pin Xiu who clocked a world record and won a Gold whilst swimming above her class.
I was completely caught off guard by the wave of emotions -the nerves, the anticipation, and most of all, the joy. All I could wonder was if this was how they felt for us when they supported us at the SEA Games in June.
